Our Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service will now support the winners by helping to match them with high performing SMEs who can help drive project delivery and deliver meaningful social impact in West Cumbria.
The winners include the North West Energy Coast Alliance of Workington firms McMenon Engineering Services and TIS Cumbria.

While the North West Energy Coast Alliance is working alongside bigger Tier 2 contractors on this framework, they’re also one of the 70 or so SMEs that have been through the Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service process. And they were graded Gold after scoring well against the tough criteria dictated by the high expectations of PPP.
We’ve already successfully matched several SMEs with the Key Delivery Partner winners of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) package of work. And we’re well and truly stuck in to helping match like-minded businesses for other the remaining PPP frameworks up for grabs.

We’re taking big strides in helping to achieve PPP’s shared ambition to create a clean and safe environment at the Sellafield site for future generations, improve sustainability and better outcomes for the local economy and communities.
