More than 30 representatives from SMEs attended the second Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service Quarterly Connect meeting on Tuesday, November 1.
Held at Solomons Europe’s Papcastle Depot offices, those gathered received the message: “We need to turn ‘love letters’ (Heads of Terms) into frameworks. We need to move to the next stage of commitment and mobilise the supply chain.”
In addition to overviews and updates from the SWTBF SME Matchmaker Service, Programme and Project Partners (PPP) and its Key Delivery Partners (KDPs) for KDP3 HVAC, KDP4 Electrical and Instrumentation and KDP5 Mechanical Pipework, SME delegates also got the chance to meet KDPs in a series of one-to-one ‘meet the buyer’ meetings.
This is a new development for Quarterly Connect meetings and an opportunity for both sides to discuss capabilities, capacity, delivery timescales and build a more informed picture.
SMEs relevant to these packages of work were invited to this meeting. In future it’s our intention to continue to select SMEs relevant to KDPs represented for Quarterly Connect meetings, to ensure conversations remained focused on developing relationships that will bear fruit.
Please be assured if you are not invited you are not missing out. You will be invited to more relevant future events.
We produced a special newsletter to capture what happened at Quarterly Connect 2, get the perspectives from those who attended and outline our pledges for the next few months.
