Mark is steadfast in his commitment to mentoring, sharing and improving the knowledge of others. He always takes the time to check in to see how our Client work is going and check how we’re getting on personally. His professionalism, approachability, diligence and work ethic are a testament to his success. For those of us working, or one day aiming for, MRICS status, Mark’s encouragement and reassurance, particularly when the going gets tough helps us to remain calm and focused. Everyone will agree he is an invaluable asset to Solomons, a brilliant Quantity Surveyor and an all-round great guy.

Mark’s unflagging commitment to supporting those targeting RICS Chartered status has clearly had a meaningful impact on those under his mentorship. His own personal experience of the challenging journey towards MRICS means he can offer both encouragement and empathy to those he coaches and mentors – helping to build their confidence and competence to ensure the APC candidates he takes under his wing have the best possible chance to succeed at their final assessment.

What Mark said…
It is an absolute honour to win the Mentor of the Year award. Since getting Chartered, I have focussed on paying it forward to help as many of my team reach MRICS, as I want to leave the Quantity Surveying profession in safe hands.
