Solomons Europe has welcomed new starters at a rate of almost one a week during the past two months as it presses ahead with its growth and evolution plans.
In total, eight new recruits have joined Solomons’ teams based across the North, taking the total headcount at the company to 55. The new arrivals span various tiers of Quantity Surveyors. They also include new specialist roles that will further bolster the company’s industry leading expertise in the NEC® suite of contracts and enhance Solomons’ “big picture” strategic approach to delivering project excellence and positive socioeconomic outcomes through its work with clients.
Lori Cockburn, NEC Project Professional, and Ben Quitman, NEC Project Specialist, have joined the Cumbria team, while Strategic Project Manager Tyler Holmes will work across both the Cumbria and North East regions.
Connor Keane, Project Quantity Surveyor, and Intermediate Quantity Surveyors Richard Revell and Alexandra Savin have joined the North West team, while Senior Quantity Surveyor Andy Whittet and Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Kathryn Lawson have joined the North East.
Victoria Clements, People and Performance Manager, says: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome a vibrant mix of people at various stages in their careers to the Solomons team. Each brings their own unique skills and experience to the company and we’re looking forward to seeing them grow and flourish with us for years to come.
“The recruitment marketplace continues to be tough, and a huge amount of work has gone into first identifying and then securing people with the skills and attributes we look for. It’s essential that new team members share our values and that they align with Solomons’ fresh and forward-thinking philosophy of pushing hard for positive change in both our profession and the construction industry.”
The unprecedented growth spurt, which started in mid-September, is just the beginning. A further 3 new recruits are set to start in January 2024 – just as Solomons’ kicks off a fresh New Year recruitment campaign.
