Our Team Cumbria members battled challenging terrain and temperatures at this weekend’s Grasmere Gallop is a major fundraising push for charity West House.
Intrepid team members Dawn Keenan, Clare White, John Rossiter, George Duxbury, Dominic Doig, and Luke Dicicco along with family members, friends and client colleagues tackled the 5.7k walk, 10k trail run and 10k Nordic Walk on Saturday, June 3.
Special mentions go to John for his top 20 finish in the 10k and Dawn for battling through and completing the same race in style and with a huge smile, despite carrying a niggling knee injury. Our Team Cumbria members are certainly a tough bunch!
Team Cumbria is aiming to raise £2,500 (if not more!) during 2023 for West House – a leading local disability support and care provider helping individuals to lead a well-rounded and full life. So far, they’ve raised a whopping £835 – 33% of their target total. To donate to their cause, head over to their Just Giving Page.
Team Cumbria, and our regional teams in the North West and North East are taking part on a variety of running events over the next few months as part of the Solomons Community Fundraising Forum’s Run it Back challenge. Next up, the North West Team will tackle Run Media City (June 29), for their chosen charity, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, while the North East Team will put their best foot forward at the Durham City 10k (part of the Durham City Run Festival) in July in aid of the Zoe's Place Trust (Middlesbrough).
