Our recently opened Papcastle Depot near the Cumbrian town of Cockermouth caught the eye of Project Control Professional Magazine, the official publication of the Association of Cost Engineers.
Our very own People and Performance Manager, Victoria Clements penned a feature which was included in the high-respected magazine.
Using a local supply chain and taking 10 months to build, the striking offices nestled between the beautiful villages of Papcastle and Great Broughton in West Cumbria, were designed to set a benchmark for working spaces in the region.
Our objective was to create an inspirational and energising space to challenge the status quo of traditional offices and raise the bar when it comes to transforming disused premises.
The former depot, most recently used to store agricultural equipment, underwent a £629,000 revamp and features a collection of striking repurposed shipping containers given a lick of bright yellow paint. In additional to a large meeting room, there is also a café and outside seating area.
The offices are currently home to Solomons Europe employees and recruitment brokerage social enterprise All Together Cumbria.
The full feature can be downloaded below.
Further coverage of the opening can be found on the in-Cumbria website.
