Solomons Europe has a strong relationship with world-leading specialist door manufacturer Booth Industries.
We provide commercial support services to the Bolton-based company, who have several major contracts with clients including AWE and Manchester City Council - as well as several main contractors, including Laing O’Rourke’s, where we are supporting in their development of Liverpool Street Station as part of the multibillion-pound Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) project in London.
And we recently helped Booth secure a lucrative £36 million contract with HS2, providing expert advice on the NEC contract being used for the project.
Booth will provide fire protection doors between cross passages linking separate rail tunnels along phases 1 (London to Birmingham) and phase 2a (Birmingham to Crewe) of the high speed rail link.
Scores of jobs are to be created through the contract, both directly and through the company’s supply chain, with work set to be completed in 2030.
Established for over a century, Booth has grown to become a world-leader in designing, fabricating, and producing pre-engineered and bespoke steel doors, blast windows, blast relief panels and modular wall systems and blast relief panels.
It works across the infrastructure, nuclear, aviation, defence and security sectors.
