The conversion of the former coal fired Lynemouth Power Station in Northumberland to a major generator of biomass electricity is one of the largest engineering projects currently taking place in the UK.

Solomons Europe is supporting developer Lynemouth Power Ltd with a host of contract and commercial management services to keep the project on track.

Once operational, this flagship renewable energy development just outside the coastal village of Lynemouth will provide enough electricity to power around 450,000 homes.

This complex project involves a workforce of more than 5,000 skilled people and is supported by a UK-wide supply chain of companies of various sizes.
