Programme and Project Partners (PPP) has published its ambitious roadmap for the next five years as it continues to support Sellafield to deliver its purpose of creating a clean and safe environment for future generations.

The strategy contains an overview of PPP’s purpose and its work to deliver a pipeline of major projects at Sellafield. It is supported by a roadmap of steps the partnership will take in the coming years to realise the business case benefits of its pioneering Project 13 inspired Multi-Project Procurement (MPP) commercial model, which encourages the creation of long-term relationships between its Key Delivery Partners (KDPs) and the supply chain and measures success on enterprise outcomes.

The PPP model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major infrastructure delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site. The partnership brings together KBR Inc., Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad Babcock, Sellafield Ltd as the client, and a wider supply chain to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects. Each of the projects will play a vital role in ensuring Sellafield can safely empty ponds and silos, manage the waste and store it safely for decades to come.

Solomons Europe is delivering the Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service in support of PPP’s strategy to ensure the aligned supply chain it wants to develop was inclusive of SMEs. PPP has laid down the challenge for its supply chain partnerships to realise ambitious targets for best practice project delivery and meaningful social impact that makes a real difference to the lives and careers of people in West Cumbria. Its approach to SME engagement recognises the important role they can play in achieving this.
