Solomons Europe’s owners and founders Dom and Kerry Doig are champing at the bit to get started this year’s Walking with the Wounded Cumbrian Challenge as part of Team All Together Cumbria.
They’ll head off into the wilderness on Saturday (May 14) for the testing but fun annual fundraising event in the Lake District, which helps wounded veterans back into work and achieve greater independence.
Kerry says: “We’re really looking forward to joining everyone participating in this year’s Cumbrian Challenge. The last couple of years has really highlighted the great privilege it is to live somewhere so connected in terms of nature and community as Cumbria.
“Supporting this years’ All Together Cumbria team is a great way to recognise this and give something back to those who protect our own freedoms and choices. It’s now down to us now to smash our fundraising target and get on with some serious walking!”
All Together Cumbria is a Community Interest Company formed to help resolve Industry skills gaps in Cumbria today, and is based at Solomons’ Papcastle Depot offices near Cockermouth.
All Together Cumbria is not only sponsoring this year’s Cumbrian Challenge t-shirts. It's team, which is made up of representatives from several partner organisations and businesses, is also fundraising. To make a donation visit the team’s fundraising page.
